Art in the Barn Summer Camp Series 2019
Art in the barn is a multi-activity camp that is focused on art and riding. We usually have on or two comprehensive art projects we work on, and split the day with riding or working with the horses on the ground. It is not guaranteed that the kids will ride horses every day, however, weather permitting they will ride a minimum of twice during the week. We focus on horse care and management, as well as riding. We also incorporate outdoor games when the weather is nice. Kids learn about all the different horse sports, and we start them playing some of them on foot. This is a great introduction to horses and art. We have found that the balance of creativity and physical activity makes for a really fun camp.
Time to ride
Every day kids will have time spent with the horses. Each camper is guaranteed to ride at least twice during a camp week. Riding times and days will vary.
Horse care and Management
Campers will be learning how to handle horses on the ground, as well as proper horse care. Days the campers are not riding, they will be learning horsemanship skills.
Art in the Barn
Mixed media art
Each week we will have new and exciting art projects to work on. Some weeks the project will span multiple days, so it's best if campers can attend all days.
